walk, run, golf

a simple day spent doing a walk/run very early in semi darkness so i could be home when the furniture repair guy showed up to cut up our new sofa and then re-assemble it on a different floor level.

ran some and the legs are coming back some- made another mental note to really start stretching more and more once the legs are ready for it. spent the next few hours with the sofa guy and then headed over to the 9 hole course and played ok. not there yet, but got away with some so-so shots; best part was that my misses stayed in play and i chipped really well. even birdied the tough par 4 3rd hole when a really so-so 2 iron hybrid shot bounced up onto the green and stopped 3 feet from the hole. made that putt and was lucky on that hole.

but what the golf gods giveth they also take back- on the next par 3 hole i actually hit the flagstick with my 5 iron tee shot only to have it bounce off the flag stick and go into the back bunker for what turned out to be a bogie 4. some good and some so-so shots but scored well with a good short game and only 15 putts for the 9 holes. then spent two hours practicing the short game and putting. had already hit 100 balls earlier before i played.

spent the evening doing stuff around the house and reading after some phone calls trying to arrange a few things. may or may not play golf tomorrow as the rain is supposed to hit around noon.

and then it is time to put the house back together and get on with whatever is next.
more soon.
