2965 miles with three more runs at most

another late day as i read until 1am and then got up a little late. we are dealing with cat issues right now that make a normal day or night hard to find. plus it is very warm for here at about 78 degrees. hot as heck even with our fan on as i type this and gail deals with the cat. only a few windows in this house open and no real need anyway with the heat outside. three days and a wakeup and we go back to the desert but with ac working i hope, as our ac guys had to skip our last appt to, take care of senior citizens. not me? kidding --

but i ran anyway. my morning heart rate was 45 and i seemed to have recovered somewhat and i ran north towards port meadow and the river. ran well headed up and then over and across the rainbow bridge. the cows and horses were running around and several boats were out on the river. spent a moment talking to a family of four about their fishing outing and they had caught about 20 crayfish. she is from cambridge and he is from london and we like comparing the towns and the level of friendliness in each. our consensus is that cambridge is smaller and friendlier and has more of a community feeling due to its size.

ran down the trail as they open the trail on the weekends when they don't work and have fixed a little detour for people to take. i was hoping to take the makeshift bridge over to the train trail and canal, but they had that blocked so i kept going and ran towards osney island instead, then cut back to see the school's water pond one last time. the kids did a great job.

cut down the alley and over to osney road where i ran into a woman in a wheelchair and we had a nice chat as she pulled and i ran. couldn't help thinking of the big and rich song as we each finally went our own way. and finally over to the bike path and did a loop down and back to the made up track and ran 14 x 100. nice and easy with some a little quicker and some working on pace. all good and off i went around the park path again and then home.

lots to do now - laundry, packing throwing out and giving away stuff. i put some stuff outside the house with a "FREE" sign on it and it is gone. got a thank you note. nice touch

anyway- need to get back to it and do some more laundry and fold some more as just sitting here in this heat is sort of disgusting. more tomorrow. still need to figure out how to mail several things back there.
