friday in a nutshell

not enough time to do today justice but like the title says in a nutshell- i got up and went to the ladies European tour's English open. was an adventure taking the bus somewhere i hadn't been and passing through new towns. the golf course was beautiful and i spent about 5 hours watching and walking around. that was after a two mile run and walk from the bus top. at the end i got to do that again; with the 4-6 miles i walked in the 5 hours of watching the rest day today only covered about 8-10 miles of running and walking.

also got home in time to have a light lunch and then go hit some golf balls. that went ok and even well some of the time. i am still learning and will be better ultimately i believe. chipped for half an hour and practiced some flop shots and right to left bump and runs also and then went home.

lots to do before i go to sleep. this morning's heart rate was 46-47, not bad after yesterday's short but hard run. will repeat it in the morning and then go long sometime this week. all fun.

it is independence day back home and i am sure the fireworks will be nice. for me it means 26 days to go. gail printed out the draft of her book today- over 300 pages. now to edit it down some and send it away.

tour de france starts tomorrow. should be good.
