fun day

short 3-4 mile outing this morning. right leg is so so but i am not sure what is wrong with the quad at all. still cannot put my right leg over the left and the sudden unexplained pain at anytime is never fun. but it doesn't really get in the way of running once i start. morning heart rate was 44 this morning so some time off helps that come down. gail and i went up to the church and back after she came out. i was already out and going back and forth waiting for her.

a quick cleanup and breakfast and dr. john came by to pick me up and we went to hinksey heights golf course and played the back nine holes. played like i hadn't been on a golf course in awhile but it was fun. john is the perfect golf partner and we both played ok with some good and bad shots- half pars and bogies. tuff greens for sure and the wind was blowing pretty good. they had the club championship there this past week and the greens were really quick and small and hard. think Shenandoah greens with links type mounds and bunkers. quick though as we played in under two hours and didn't find or lose a ball.

after we had lunch john took me home and i walked up to the range to see if i could lock down something i noticed while playing. that went ok actually. golf on a course is so much more fun than just hitting balls on a range.

shopping, laundry, bill paying and dinner made up the rest of the time. watched some open on tv-go david duval!!!- and just getting stuff ready to go home. rain is coming in for the weekend.

lots to do and looking forward to it all. not looking to the heat back home though. in the 60's here with some sun and so rain-it is my kind of weather. note that on a basic rest day of sorts with the 4 miles in the morning, the 3 miles we walked at the golf course and two miles up and back to the range and the grocery store i had 9 miles of exercise, plus golf and driving range. if you go out the front door here you seem to do 10 miles worth of something.

my new motto is vote for mc cain so i can move to france or portugal! thanks.

time to hang clothes- bet some of you have dryers don't you? ha
