not much to say day, but happy birthday to my brother alan

happy birthday brother!! we re getting up there huh? time to decide what to do with what's left. have some cake for me and ice cream - small portions or i will gain weight from here telepathically.

stayed up until 3:30 am working on my little golf club reselling thing i am putting together and listening to super tuesday primary results. funny how anytime you make a comment about politics you can almost hear the other person's brain getting ready to attack back. very little room for inteligent discussion when the two sides are such polar opposites. and always interesting to see how people here in the uk interpret our primaries by wanting them to make sense. me too but what can i say-this is the system for now.

seems strange that if you win some states 55% - 45% you get to split the delegates. seems worse that some states allow cross-over voting so you can help pick the candidate your candidate will run against. and while the caucus concept is all well and good, the way people are committed or not committed to their is strange to me also.

but even as i type this i can hear the voices in my head arguing against me.

mc cain certainly looks like he is in charge but in reality he hasn't won anything really big. romney has almost certainly blown his chances. might have done better if he had stayed romney instead of morphing into somebody unrecognizable. and huck is just plain scary, niced guy that everyone says he is. and worse fear for me is that mc cain chooses huck as running mate. at
mc cain's age who he chooses for a mate would seem really important. and that is huck's best chance of becoming the president and super preacher at the same time.

hillary should jump out in front and say she will pick south carolina's clydeburn as her running mate. give the country a chance to pick two historical firsts at the same time. make romney wait 8 more years to get another shot at it.

big question i have now is -are the red states still red and how do the dems get over that?

if you look in the dictionary today under joke, you will find bush's budget proposal. and how many people do you think read the state of the union signing statement that kills more rights of the free usa?

anyway- i digressed for a moment.

ran only 4 miles today as my quads were tired from yesterday's hills. i am not sure why the legs are so tired lately, but i will put it down to very little sleep this past week and 58 miles a week for the last six months. am going to sit down tomorrow and re-write my schedule for the next month.

golf wise had a strange day- for 65 -75 balls today i was great - long and high and straight. then i was thin and weak and still straight but 20 yards shorter. then at the end i was somewhere in the middle. will work on that, but was good to see the potential back in play again.
still it is not really golf, but swing..... will take another year to recover from being here.
as a side note i had several of my irons- gap, pw, 9,8,7 and 5 - the ones i have here, bent down 2 degrees so they are flat again. my new swing likes that better as the old way made the club toe up excessively and every time i set up and saw the toe up it looked like it would hook to me. will get the other clubs done when i get home if this seems to work. really nice of mark the pro here to do it for free. owe him a big favor.

did get to the public market today and loaded up on stuff so we're good for a bit.
and off i go- must pay some bills and finish the bookclub book; want to check out some on line pictures from jim l and answer some emails.

today's blog is probably eveb less exciting than most, but it is in the books. 175 to go
